Ahh, fall is in the air! And Halloween is right around the corner. This is my favorite time of the year! (I have yet to decide on this year’s Halloween costumes, though…I should probably get started on that…)
I’m always on the hunt for fun printable gift tags to keep on hand, so I decided to whip up some Halloween ones before my holiday preparations get too crazy.
These free printable Halloween gift tags are the perfect way to finish off goodie bags, Halloween party favors, or a small gift. If you’re a teacher, you’re welcome to use these printable tags for student gifts (if you do that sort of thing for your school Halloween party or something).

Free printable Halloween gift tags

This free download includes a full page PDF with 8 different designs, full of adorable ghosts, black cats, and a variety of Halloween sentiments—perfect for the Halloween season!
The FREE printable PDF contains all 8 tag designs. However, if there’s a particular design you’d like a full sheet of, you can purchase the full file that contains the mixed sheet as well as individual sheets of each tag (it’s inexpensive but just a little something to help compensate me for my time, so I appreciate you!).

Halloween party favor ideas
If you’re hosting a Halloween party, try one of these ideas for party favors that your guests can take home with them:
- little bags of candy corn or pumpkins
- Tootsie Pops or suckers wrapped to look like ghosts (check out my ghost garland for inspiration!)
- bags of popcorn
- glow sticks or a glow stick necklace: these are awesome for trick-or-treating on Halloween night!
- mini Play-doh containers
- crazy straws
- Halloween candy (you can never have too much, right?)
Of course, finish your party favors off with these printable Halloween tags: choose one design or mix and match all of them!

Other Halloween treat and gift ideas
Here are some more fun ideas for neighbors, ministering sisters, teachers, and friends:
- a gourmet homemade caramel apple
- a mini loaf of bread (pumpkin chocolate chip, obviously)
- a small pumpkin
- Halloween mug or mason jar filled with chocolates
- hand soap
- fuzzy Halloween socks
- a gift card
These are all great gifts, but if you want something even easier/cheaper, simply tie a ribbon around a large candy bar and attach one of these cute tags!
How to use these free printable Halloween tags
Note: These gift tags are for personal use only and may not be shared, sold, or distributed, in whole or in part. Please do not share this PDF file or the download link–they are for personal use only. Please share a link to this blog post instead!

Tips for printing: Make sure your printer settings are set to scale 100% and print at a high quality. For best results, print on white cardstock. If you want, you could also print these on sticker paper (I haven’t tried that, but I might have to create a tutorial for that in the future!).
Once printed, you can use a paper cutter or scissors to cut the tags out. Feel free to write a message on the back of the tag. Then punch a hole at the top with a hole punch and tie to your gift with ribbon, baker’s twine, or yarn.
Don’t have gift bags or Halloween favors you want to use these tags for? Get creative! Another way to use these free halloween printables is to turn them into cupcake toppers! Use a large circle punch to crop the tags or trim them down with scissors, then attach them to toothpicks or cupcake picks. Easy and perfect for Halloween parties!
